【摘要】:4.1ThistestmethodprovidesamoreprecisewayofmeasuringGardnercolorthandescribedinTestMethodD1544.ItisapplicabletonavalstoresproductshavingcolorsfromGardner1toGardner18.TheGardnerscaleisnotapplicabletomaterialswithcolorslighterthan1ordarkerthan18.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationofthecolorofclear,yellow/brown,liquidmaterialsusingcolormeasuringinstruments.Theresultsmaybeinvalidifothermaterialsareused.ThetestusestheGardnercolorscaledescribedinTestMethodD1544.Thistestmethodappliestonavalstoresproductsincludingtalloil,talloilfattyacids,rosin,andrelatedproducts.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,problemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
